Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Christopher Nixon, 420 West Golf Road, Libertyville, IL 60048, United States ("NameIO", "we", "us") for your use of NameIO at https://app.getnameio.com and https://getnameio.com. By creating an account or using NameIO, you agree to them. Effective October 25, 2026.

1. What NameIO does

NameIO checks how AI assistants and Google's AI Overviews answer the questions your customers ask, shows which brands they name, and gives you search, site-audit and analytics tools. We collect AI answers and search data through DataForSEO. In the app, each answer shows the engine it came from and how it was collected.

AI answers are written by third parties (OpenAI, Google, Perplexity and others), not by us. They can be wrong, change from one day to the next, and differ from what a particular person sees. NameIO reports what was collected; it does not guarantee that your brand will appear in, or rank in, any AI answer or search result.

NameIO also helps you draft fixes for your store's pages. The draft is written by an AI assistant you choose, either connected to NameIO or one whose reply you paste in. NameIO flags some kinds of claims for you to check, such as prices, ratings, numbers, health claims and competitors' names, mostly ones it can't find on your page. It can miss claims. If you connect Shopify, NameIO publishes a draft to a product page only when you click Publish, and you can roll it back while your store is still connected; otherwise you paste it in yourself. You decide what goes on your store and are responsible for it, so check each draft before you publish or paste it.

2. Your account

• You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
• You are responsible for activity in your account and your organization, including anything an AI assistant or API key you connect does on your behalf.
• Keep your API keys private. Revoke any key or connected app you no longer use (Settings).

3. Acceptable use

Do not:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, through NameIO;
• audit, crawl or submit websites you are not allowed to;
• overload, probe or attack the service, or get around its limits, credit checks or security;
• create accounts in bulk or by automation, or share one account to dodge plan limits;
• resell access to NameIO without our written permission.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or an active attack prevents it.

4. Plans, credits and billing

• Free plan. A limited plan with a one-time allowance of credits that doesn't refill, and up to 3 publishes to Shopify in total. Free accounts also have a small daily data budget: a limit for each account, and one shared by all free accounts. When either is used up, data lookups are refused until it resets at 00:00 UTC, unless you have top-up credits, which are then used instead. A check bigger than the daily budget runs only on top-up credits. Its limits can change.
• Paid plan. $54 a month or $499 a year, plus applicable tax, charged in advance through Stripe. Both include $15 of usage credits every month; annual plans receive them monthly too. Scheduled checks run within a daily limit shared across NameIO. When it is reached, due checks wait and usually run the next day (UTC); a single check too big for that limit is skipped, and the app tells you.
• Credits. Data lookups cost credits. The app shows your balance, and an estimate before some actions, such as an AI visibility check with Run now, a schedule change, a rank check, a brand lookup, or a site audit that renders pages. Other lookups, including your first baseline check, can be charged without an estimate first. Included monthly credits reset each month and do not roll over. Top-up credits you buy carry over while your account is open.
• Renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the price then in effect, until you cancel. Before an annual renewal we email you a reminder. We give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
• Taxes are calculated at checkout from your billing details.

5. Cancelling and refunds

• Your organization's owner can cancel anytime from Billing in the app. Your plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for and then stops renewing. We don't refund any part of a period you have paid for, except an annual charge as the next point says, or if we stop offering the paid plan (section 8).
• Annual plans: if you ask within 14 days of any annual charge, first purchase or renewal, we refund that charge in full and the plan ends then. Email chris@getnameio.com from your account's address.
• Top-up credits are not refundable.
• Nothing here limits refund rights you have by law.

6. Your data

You own the data you bring to NameIO and the reports it produces for you. You give us permission to store and process that data only to run, secure and support the service for you. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and who processes it.

Report links you share are visible to anyone who has the link until you turn sharing off, delete the report or archive the project. A link already open can keep loading for up to a minute. Restoring an archived project turns its links back on.

7. Other services

NameIO relies on services run by others, such as Google, Shopify, Stripe, Autumn and DataForSEO, and connects to AI assistants you choose (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor). Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for how they handle data you send them.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep NameIO running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering the paid plan, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or revenue, and our total liability for any claim about NameIO is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using NameIO and delete your account at any time by emailing chris@getnameio.com. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. After an account ends, we delete its data as our Privacy Policy describes.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect and ask you to accept the new terms in the app. Until you accept them, the terms you last accepted keep applying.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the seller named above has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: chris@getnameio.com.
