Link Prospecting
Link Prospecting finds link prospects for a page of yours, gives each one an outreach angle, finds contact paths and drafts the messages. You get a report with the prospects and the drafts. It never sends outreach; you send it.
NameIO tools find the prospects. Your assistant's own web, search or browser tools find the contacts, so your assistant needs those tools for that step.
Before you start
- Give it your domain or the target URL, and the linkable asset or topic. You can add competitors and a market.
- It needs your positioning and competitors in project context.
- Saving needs a connection with Make changes on.
What it does
- Builds 5 to 10 queries from patterns such as "<topic> resources", "best <category> tools" and "<competitor> alternatives", and runs them through
get_serp_results, up to 10 per call. - Mines competitors' backlinks with
get_backlinks_overview. - Uses local tools for local link targets.
- Filters the results to editorial and resource pages.
- Defines an outreach angle for each prospect.
- Finds contact paths on the web.
- Drafts the messages.
What it costs
Approximate costs:
- Live Google results: about 5 credits per keyword at depth 20.
- Backlinks overview: about 100 credits for a domain, about 65 for a page.
- Domain overview: about 15 credits.
What it saves
- Project context: the linkable asset as a key page, useful competitors, and a research-log line.
- The report.
The report
Sections:
- The angle.

- Outreach drafts.
- Limitations.
- What to do next.
- How this report was made, with a link to this page.
It never invents contacts, and it names the web source where it found each one.
Tools it uses
get_serp_results, get_backlinks_overview, get_domain_overview, get_ranked_keywords, research_keywords and local tools when relevant, plus update_project_context and save_report through SEO Report.
