Keyword Research
Keyword Research turns seed topics into a prioritized set of keyword opportunities, with metrics and live search results, and saves and tags the terms you approve. You get a shortlist to target now, a longer list for later, and the page each keyword calls for.
Before you start
- Give it one or more seeds: topics, products, pages, competitors or audience problems. You can add a market, location or language.
- It needs the Business overview and Current goal in project context.
- If you don't name a project, the assistant finds it with
list_projects. - Saving needs a connection with Make changes on.
What it does
- If Search Console is connected, starts from striking-distance queries: queries where you rank between positions 5 and 20 with at least 50 impressions. It adds keyword difficulty and intent to them with
get_keyword_metrics. - Runs
research_keywordsfor exploratory seeds, with local search volume when a location matters. - Uses
get_ranked_keywordswhen the brief includes a domain. - Removes off-intent terms and prioritizes by fit, not by volume alone.
- Checks a small set of live Google results.
- Shows you a shortlist and a longer table.
- Asks you before saving keywords, with suggested tags such as topic:<topic>, intent:<intent> and page:<slug>.
Saved keywords appear on the Saved Keywords page in your project.
What it costs
- Keyword research costs about 54 credits per seed at the default 150 results, and about 110 at 500. Clickstream data doubles it. An obscure seed that needs a fallback lookup costs about 40 more, local search volume for a city, county or region adds about 116 per seed, and in countries served from Google Ads data each seed costs about 116. The skill sends one to five seeds per call at 150 results.
- Keyword metrics cover up to 700 keywords in one call.
- Live Google results cost about 5 credits per keyword at depth 20, and the default check is small.
- Search Console reads, location lookups, saved keywords and saving keywords are free.
What it saves
- Project context, including a research-log line.
- Saved keywords, only after you confirm.
